Heading north on Lockwood Ridge starting at Walmart the limit is 35mph. Manatee county and State troopers (generally 3-7 at a time) are parked (and hidden) in the childrens day care center,on the east side of the road. One guy stands on the side of the road with a laser, shoots the northbound drivers, and can read all the way down to the north entrance of Walmart which is at least a quarter of a mile. He then walks out in the middle of the road and waves them in.They also park in the empty lot just north of the day care and do the same thing. Also, north of tallevast, on Lockwood Ridge, same setup. They park at the church on the east side, right where the road takes a jog so you can see them until you are right there. The speed limit on N. Lockwood Ridge road changes 3 times from State road 70 to University. 45 from S.R.70 to Whitfield Ave, 40 from Whitfield to Tallevast and then 35 from Tallevast to University. I travel that road every day and have literally hundreds of people stopped,especially between Tallevast and University.
