Area is a four lane NC state maintained road and has a moderate mix of business and residences. Coming north the speed limit is 45 then changes to 35 with just one sign giving a warning. The Gastonia Police work the area without mercy. Radar seems to be the main type of enforcement. Officers are generally parked on an old mill parking lot away from traffic where you have little or no reaction time to adjust your speed
