The entire town of Umatilla will enforce it’s funky speed limits very aggressively.
There are 4-5 speed limit changes in this small town.
Lately, I’ve seen many semi trucks pulled over.
Back in the day, if you saw someone pulled over, you could be sure that their skin was not white. Yup, Lake County, the basis for the movie "Cool Hand Luke".

Police Officers in Umatilla have bragged that money from fine totally pays the Police Budget. After dark it is very rare that a Police officer ventures away from the main drag because of fear. If they pull over a ninety year old grandma, they always call for backup . These day in most of the country, It's a money thing. I was a police officer in a differant part of the country and there we concentrated on keeping people from killing themselves. Our fines ran between ten and twenty five dollars for speeding and we didn't run Radar unless we started having to many accidents. Those days are gone. Fines in Lake county for 15 miles over the limit are $ 209.00. sad huh
