New speed camera locations
Nine new traffic cameras are up and running in New Orleans.
The new cameras that target speeders and motorists who run red lights are located at the following intersections:
City Park Avenue westbound at Canal Boulevard
Harrison Avenue westbound at Marconi Drive
Wisner Boulevard in both directions at Harrison Avenue
North Rampart Street southbound at Esplanade
Chartres Street in both directions at Gallier Street
Henry Clay Avenue in both directions at Colliseum Street
Fines for speeding range from $80 to $240 based on the speed of the vehicle.
The fine for running a red light is $145.
