the lines in the road detected how fast in how much time and distance. there are about 5 or 6 on the whole road and the road is only about a mile long. every side road that runs into North hills avenue has a speed trap where they connect.

I travel this road 5-7 times a week. There are police cars parked in side streets at least 2-3 times a week. A very hard street to maintain a 25 mph, as one direction is all downhill.
I live pretty close to this road but rarely have any reason to drive on it. Use Limekiln Pike/Fitzwatertown road and just wrap around it. It's smoother and has a higher speed limit and is quicker. Jenkintown Rd also hits Fitzwatertown if you're coming to or from Abington or Jenkintown. Unless you're going somewhere on that road, like the 19th Hole bar, why even take that road?
Is it a speed trap? I don't think it is, but that's a matter of definition. They are strict on speeding there, and I think they're probably also looking for drunks driving out of that tavern. But I think their objective is not just to collect revenue but to actually discourage people barreling quickly down that relatively narrow residential street.
Take the alternate roads instead.
