North of Corning but South of Red Bluff.
On 3/14/14 I was pulled over for an erratic lane change. My left slip on shoe became wedged under the brake pedal BUT I had my Cruise Control set to 75. The actual flow of traffic was more like 85. When the CHP came to my window he said that I changed lanes in an erratic matter & get this, his next sentence was “when was the last time you took Meth?” I’m a 51 year old permanently disabled female. He proceeded to give me 6 sobriety tests, which I passed all with no problem. He even took out a flip chart to tell if my eyes were dilated & finally did the breathalyzer! Again passed with no problem.
He was so angry for being wrong that out of the blue he said I was speeding @ 98+MPH! My Cruise Control was still on & when I asked to see the unit showing my speed, he did not.
They want to pop you with something big but settle for am exaggerated speeding ticket. He was rude & quite offending. Repeatedly asked the same questions at least 5 times. I believe since the Rolling Hills Casino is just south of this area, they’re looking for DUI’s. Even if you’re not guilty of a DUI get ready for that exaggerated speeding ticket. I plan on driving the 800 miles to fight this thing, no one treats me like that without consequences!
