North of PHI heliport

Boothville, LouisianaJul 15, 20130 Comments

There’s usually a Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s car parked north of the heliport on the northbound side anywhere from 2 to 3 miles from the heliport entrance on crew change days. Their prey is offshore oil workers coming in from their hitch and on the way home. The workers have good jobs, are well paid and are an easy touch. They’ve added a new wrinkle of late where they will position a sheriffs car where he can be easily seen and once you’ve passed him and speed back up his tag team partner is parked a mile up the highway and well hidden. You can also find them in the southbound lane in the same area between 4 a.m, and 6 a.m. on crew change days trying to hook those same oilfield workers who are on their way to the heliport and going offshore.
