Hawk Cove is a municipality (city), not a village. Texas Transpotation Code statutes are to be observed at all times on all public roadways in the State of Texas. The Police Officers job is to enforce these statutes. Obey the law and you will not be stopped. Traffic stops are not just to generate revenue. There are many individuals with outstanding warrants arrested just because they did not signal intent to turn 100 ft. prior to the turn. Burglaries are solved just because an individual rolled through a stop sign and the Officer sees suspisous property in the vehicle. Many arrests have been made at that intersecton for possesson of a controled substance and possession of marijuana all because of stops for minor traffic violations. Everyone wants to complain about local law enforcement until they need an Officer then they complain because the Officers did not do enough.
