North to south city limits. several miles distance

Parker, ArizonaJul 11, 20021 Comments

Parker, AZ has four (4) enforcement jurisdictions working within the city limits. DPS (State) La Paz County, City of Parker, and CRIT tribal police. Parker is a training ground for all jurisdictions, and rookies are encouraged to "cut their teeth" on the unaware. There are several places in town and in the open desert beyond where officers wait for you. They also do well watching the parking lots of various watering holes. Unmarked cars are also used, with the cutest one being the Pontiac Fierro with the light on the dash that tribal cops so enjoy.

Comments:
A couple of places they will get you, depending on the time and situation, is Indian 1 towards Blythe before you get past Poston (after Poston is wide open). 95 between Quartzsite and Parker. And ESPECIALLY 62 past 95 through Bouse. The only one which is a true ticket trap through Bouse. One other not mentioned is sections on 95 to Lake Havasu in La Paz County....... you still have to be over 65, but they hit this hard now. Also, in the area watch 95 on the California side. Keep it under 70 (it is a 55 zone) and you will be fine. Over 70 you will get a ticket using the 55 limit even though it is technically unenforceable at that speed.
