Northbound Interstate I-35 splits into I-35E for Dallas and I-35W to Forth Worth right after Hill/Hillsboro. The next 15 miles of I-35E travelling northeast before reaching Italy TX is pretty much straightline with some up and downhills rather than left or right bends. Beware of Milford located some 10 miles north of the I-35E / I-35W split. A concrete barrier isolates northbound and southbound interstate lanes, with sparse median openings. The Milford FM 566 to Derr Chapel Rd is a 4 miles one way trip, allowing access to northbound travellers, and after turn at Chapel Rd will give access to southbound I-35E travellers that just passed Italy TX, without need to resort to openings in the concrete barrier forming an 8 mile loop.
