Constable for Robertson County laying in wait outside of town unseen. Keep your speed down and consider rolling video while passing through. After being pulled over, the constable outright lied to our faces (and then accused us of lying) about our speed.

Interestingly, the speed he quoted just *happened* to be the exact amount for a higher ticket amount.

I understand Robertson County needs to make money, and I will happily accept my fine if I’m speeding. But to be outwardly accusatory about a motorist lying and lie themselves is just deplorable.

I’d encourage everyone to be vigilant through Robertson County, and consider withholding fuel and goods purchases for another more honest County.

This was my first ticket. . . ever. . . in 20 years of driving (to give you some context). Exact same spot as parent's post. This is definitely a scam. Since I work for a living, my only choice is to pay the fine. My advice is to avoid Franklin and Robertson county completely. Even if you record video, you will still have the cost/hassle of having to show-up in court. Maybe when they realize that their speed trap strategy is costing them more money than it is generating they will smarten up. . .
