Northern Detroit Suburb- 8 Mile & Woodward area
Beware of this township!!! The speed limits suddenly decrease upon entering. They will not hesitate to pull you over if traveling any amount above posted speeds. And you WILL get a citation because this is how the City of Ferndale makes a large percentage of its revenue.

Coming Northbound on Woodward Avenue over the bridge at Eight Mile Road out of the City of Detroit the speed limit is 40 miles an hour.Once you come into Ferndale,the speed limit drops to 35 miles an hour.I wouldn't call 5 miles an hour difference in the speed limits between the cities a "sudden decrease." Usually traffic heading over that bridge is doing 50 MPH or better heading into Ferndale.15 MPH or better is a sudden decrease......
