Oakton Street near McCormick Boulevard
If you come into Evanston via McCormick Blvd. Then they usually hide amongst the buildings just east of McCormick on the left and right hand sides as you cross into Evanston. It’s a nice area to hide in and the new city wide speed limit in Evanston is 25MPH, so be careful

Yes, this is definately a speed trap. Cars going 40 miles/hr down Oakton heading east
encounter a speed limit sign indicating 25 mph limit after entering Evanston city limits.
The problem is that the 25 mph sign is well after passing the city limits. Officers take
advantage of this by pointing their radar guns at cars before they get to the 25 mph sign.
So while you may be decelerating and may actually be going 25 mph when you get to the
sign, their radar indicates the speed before you actually get to the sign.
