Omaha Ave. Street near 1st Street

Crofton, NebraskaOct 09, 20072 Comments

Going out of Crofton, NE on Omaha Avenue on the southeast corner of town. Speed limit is 25 mph in town and changes to 35 mph at the edge of town. Officials like to set in a driveway facing oncoming traffic coming out of town and get you for speeding between the 25 mph and the 35 mph signs. They sit in the dark, all lights out. I have never been stopped but many have and the farmers and towns people are getting upset about it.

Comments:
i would tell em to stick the ticket were the sun dont shine....they cant sit in driveways and private property and clock people.

As for the speed trap on Omaha Ave in Crofton NE there are familys that live on that street that are more then happy that the Officers stop people for things such as speeding,DUI's and any other reason that they need to, to make it safe for the people that drive on the road and the familys that live on the streat. As for the siting in the dark there is a light pole over head in the location that they sit in. also the speed limits are clearly posted for a reason. As for the people complaning about the speed traps mybe you should ride with some of the EMT,s when they get called out mybe that would help you see why the Officers do what they are paid to do....................
