On Carolan between Burlingame H.S. and Broadway
This is a 35 mph zone where it is very easy to go 45 mph. The police have radar guns and strictly enforce the speed limit.

As Carolan Ave. approaches Broadway there are 3 blocks of businesses including the multi unit Northpark apt. complex. Several of the tenants cross Carolan Ave. at any given point to get to the train station across the street. Many of the personnel for the businesses park their vehicles across from their respective businesses. Some of the pedestrians are school children enroute to elementary schools across the railroad tracks. Most officers will allow 15 mph over the limit before attempting a traffic stop. Maybe a few will only allow 10 mph over. Considering the unpredictability of pedestrian traffic in this area emerging from between parked cars, 45 and 50 mph is definitely unsafe and unneccessary. Those pedestrians are not jaywalkers even though they are not in crosswalks.
