On FM 3009 through the whole city limit
Speed limit is either 40mph or 55 mph. The cops like to sit in the 40mph zone and if you are going South as soon as you cross into the 40mph they are waiting. Also they are hard on anyone hauling material on a trailer.

I wish I had read this before visiting Garden Ridge Natural Bridge Caverns. I got caught going 55 on a 40mph limit. If you are slow on the brakes and you may find a city cop waiting just over the hill that hides their car speed trap radar. Lat 29.626 Deg N, Long 98.293 Deg W.
This is definitely a speed trap for tourists. After leaving Natural Bridge Caverns headed south there was a very short stretch of road that goes from 55 to 40. Its less than a mile between the two 55 zones. This is not even in what might be called "the town" of Garden Ridge. I thought Selma had the reputation of the local speed trap but Garden Ridge now out ranks them.
