On GA-138E between GA-54 and Tara Blvd

Clayton, GeorgiaMar 19, 20103 Comments

When you go through the intersection of GA-54 and GA-138 going eastbound towards Tara Blvd there is a 35 MPH speed limit that just pops up as you go over a hill and the police camp out at the bottom of the hill. I saw them have 4 cars pulled over.

Comments:
This is not Clayton, Ga, it's Clayton County, just below Atlanta.......

It's hard to get the facts right. As an earlier commenter said, this refers to Clayton County (south of Atlanta), not the mountain town of Clayton, GA. We don't have speed traps here, except for those who are speeding significantly above the speed limit. Most of them are folks from somewhere else, where they do not pay attention to the law for any reason...which must surprise them when they come to the mountains. Course, we're just ole country folks who don't understand the big city ways.

For the mountain town of Clayton: City PD will patrol the stretch of 441, specifically sitting on top of the hill/bridge area doing traffic enforcement comming into and out of town. They have a sharp looking silver Charger that will be happy to ruien your day if you fly through town. Keep it slow, be safe, and you will have no problems at all!
