Question is: Were you in an auto or on a bike? (I deduce that since you refer to TWO --the Two Wheelers Only grill/camp site and "Sunday" that perhaps you were a weekend biker.) Not uncommon to have guys on "crotch rockets" and other bikes taking that mountain road with the curves, and straight-aways at speeds way too fast for their and the public's safety. Some have been clocked @ over 100mph. I am ofter up that way on Hwy 60 on the weekends. In my 45+ years of traveling that road, sadly I have never seen the "sherrif" clocking traffic in Suches, Ga. However, I have seen too many bikers laying on or off the road because they were traveling too fast to make the curve or ran into someone. Would I call it a speed trap? NO. Am I glad to read that the law enforcement is out ticketing speeders? YES
