This is definitely a well-known speed trap area. I wonder who is posting that it is not? The CHP officers handing out the tickets? I was advised by a nice CHP officer to sign up for traffic school, but Oregon drivers do not receive the benefit that CA drivers do. I wanted to post this as it took about 6 calls to different agencies to ascertain this information. Anyway, my ticket was still $220 for trying to pass a huge truck safely.

I-5 through Siskiyou County is not a speed trap. Just drive the speed limit.
