On Mingo between 71st and 61st ( Union High School)
This is a 25 mph school zone with flashing lights & a stop light. I see people pulled over everyday.

No one except an idiot is going to speed in a school zone; however, from the Sam's parking lot while getting gas, I saw two people get tickets in less than 10 minutes. These people weren't idiots and I'm not either. I think they, like me, did not realize that they were in a school zone until it was too late. When I got my $350 plus $65 court costs ticket, I pulled out to the outside lane from the shopping center parking lot across the street from Union High School. By the time I saw the flashing light, I was already approaching the speed limit for a regular stretch of Mingo, but, of course, over the school zone speed limit. I don't regularly drive in Tulsa--I only come in every few months. I believe school zone signs are needed for those entering from the parking lots and bigger signs are needed on that stretch of Mingo. Since school zone signs are for the safety of children and not just to make the city money, bigger and more signs would perhaps create a safer zone, especially since this is a very busy part of Mingo.
