on Mission Ave between University and Bowdish

Spokane Valley, WashingtonApr 16, 20103 Comments

During the summer the speed limit is 10MPH by the Water Park but is maintained after the park is closed up to about a week even after the school opens. There is a motor cycle cop hiding in the Mission Park waiting to nail anybody over the limit by as little as 5mph. The fine is an automatic $250 because it is considered a school zone.

Comments:
Actually the speed limit used to be 20MPH, not 10MPH and now is posted at 35MPH on MIssion. It was a noted speed controlled zone (speed trap) but is now pretty much back to normal

During the summer is is 20mph (not 10) because of the park and Splash Down, their parking lot is across Mission and there is a painted crosswalk and a light there now...make sure you stop when it is red!!! cops sit there all year round though

Definitely a speed trap. Just got caught about an hour ago. Motorcycle cop sitting right in the park. Got nailed doin 34 in a 20 and cost me over $200 because technically I got caught in a school zone as the earlier poster said. I drove back through about 20 minutes after getting nabbed and he had someone else. Slow down through here everyone!
