South bound Rte. 65 drops to 40 mph. at eastern border of Grand Rapids village. Sheriff sits in gravel "commuter" lot on 65 near the railroad bridge. Riding buddies call this stretch the "shooting gallery" for the sheriff; he has a clear radar shot @you Way before you’ll see him.

It used to 35MPH. You have an advanced sign stating the 40MPH. WtF! Get over it! I've driven this for over a decade, even if I come in hot at 5 over as long as I am slowing between the advanced warning and the actual 40 it's no big deal. Be down to 40 (used to be 35) in about the same distance from the advance warning and you scoot right through. Wood county usually gives you 5 over but don't push it coming into to downtown Grand Rapids.
