On two miles of four lane Highway 5 West of York

York, South CarolinaApr 09, 20101 Comments

SC Highway Patrol cars and motorcycles and York County Sheriff radar cars heavily patrol the first two miles of Highway 5 West of York and outside of the York City limits. Even though this is a wide four lane highway with a 12 foot paved middle(fifth) lane, the speed limit is only 45 MPH when it obviously should be 55 MPH. Indeed, before this highway was widened from two to five lanes two years ago, the speed limit was 55.

Comments:
It doesn't matter what the speed limit was 2 years ago. Do the speed limit and you'll have nothing to worry about.
