Basically anytime you go over 3 miles an hr over the posted speed limit, you’re asking for ticket. If it looks like you don’t live in the area (service vehicles, construction, delivery, etc) you’ll be flagged. Make no bone about it, they will stop you & you will be ticketed. If you ask any Oro Vally Police Officer if there is any margin for error, the answer will be no.

Comments:
There is post here, that I cannot at this moment find, where a poster tells of a "documented" case of a Motorcyclist who got three tickets in Oro Valley for going just 3 mph over the speed limit. Today, with my father as a witeness, Sgt Matthew Horetski, Oro Valley Motor Division told us that if we could not give him the names of this or any person cited for going over 3mph then the charge is false - essentialy calling us - and anyone else who has been entrapped by the O.V.P.D. as being false. In essence he called all of us liars. Please let Sgt. Hoteski know, with your evidence, that he is the liar: mhoretski@orovalleyaz.gov
