Palomar Airport Road near Rancho Sante Fe Drive

San Marcos, CaliforniaJun 24, 20071 Comments

Sheriff deputies either in car or motorcycle sit in center median aprox. 1/2 mile west of the intersection of rancho sante fe rd. (at the edge of the san marcos city limit) as you travel estbound/westbound on palomar airport road. Speed limit drops from 55mph to 45mph -tickets are issued for anything over 5mph posted limit…!

Comments:
Inaccurate! 1/2 mile west of the intersection of S Rancho Santa Fe Road it's still named W San Marcos Blvd until Business Park Drive where it becomes Palomar Airport Road. The clearly posted speed limit is 50 miles per hour NOT 55. It doesn't become 55 until west of Business Park Drive. Sheriff's Deputies CAN'T sit in the center median because it's RAISED. They would be on the parked on the side of the road visible for 2,000 feet. Tickets for anything over 5 miles per hour? Complete NONSENSE! NO ONE gets a citation for merely 5 miles over the speed limit. It's usually a minimum of 12 to 15 miles per hour over..... (Someone who "knows...")
