Parker Dam Road near Emerald Cove and Windmill Resort
About midway between the Arizona bridge and the Parker Dam on Parker Dam Road is a Fire Station. Next to the fire station is a hill atop which Sheriffs and BLM Rangers like to park giving them a wide view of traffic coming from both directions. You won’t even see them until you’re right under them and by then they already saw you through the binoculars,radioed your description to a hidden patrol car, and suddenly your weekend is in shambles.

That location is great for taking drunks off the road before they can get to the I-10 and mess up the traffice back to LA with a pile-up.
