I drive through the Harmony/Timberline intersection several times a week, and am fairly sure that the yellow light turns red much more quickly than at other intersections. I got a camera radar ticket once for this reason.
Now, I deliberately slow down when approaching this intersection, so I don't murder my brakes. If the light turns yellow and you are only approaching, but not actually in the intersection, then *stop*!!! I guarantee the light will go red sooner than you anticipated.
This has been noted in the Fort Collins Coloradoan that the yellow light on this intersection is between 3 and 3.6 seconds long, while every other 45 mph intersection in the city is 4 seconds or longer. The manager of safety for the city of fort Collins went on record to say that he is aware that rear-end collisions are up 20% for this intersection since the camera was added and he is OK with that because perpendicular collisions were down 8%.
