There is often a police car sitting at the bottom of the steep hill on northbound Pickett Rd, approaching the Old Pickett Rd intersection. He sits, facing the hill, in a left-turn lane, as if his car is turning into the public park (thus forcing any actual park visitors to turn in front of his car from the main lane since he is blocking the left-turn lane). His car only comes into view after you are about halfway down the hill. Pickett Rd has a 35 MPH speed limit, and one must ride the breaks from the very top of the steep hill to the bottom to stay within the speed limit.
