The Police sit off the road in a small park and shoot oncoming traffic from both north and south directions. The speed limit is 45 but traffic travels much faster.

I drive Platte Canyon southbound every night between 7:30-8PM- about 50% of the time, THE Bow Mar police Explorer is in this parking lot.
North and Southbound Platte Canyon between Bowles and the entrance to Normandy Estates is frequented by the cops. Watch Sunday mornings too as they sit either at Coal Mine and Platte Canyon or just south of that intersection in a drive to a few homes on the west side. Be sure to obey the 35 mph school zone when flashing lights are on. Radar is in use frequently and there are many hiding spots. We have seen many tickets given.
