Plymouth Rd and Whitehall Dr. Intersection

Ann Arbor, MichiganJul 05, 20170 Comments

At night, the regular traffic light at Plymouth Rd and Whitehall Dr. turns flashing red for all 4 directions, even though Plymouth is a major road, and White Hall Dr. is a small road opening to UM East Ann Arbor Medical Center.
U of M police sits in the dark at night on South end of Whitehall Dr, giving tickets.
Most motorists traveling east do not stop due to the previous traffic light (Plymouth & Earhart) is flashing yellow on Plymouth Rd, which leads people to think the next flashing traffic light should be yellow too.
Why are the flashing traffic lights set to red for Plymouth Rd with almost no traffic coming from Whitehall Dr. ?
