Pretty much the entire town of Scarborough, Maine

Many of the roads have artificially low speed limits. There is almost never any "reduced speed ahead signs" when a speed limit drops dramatically (for example, from 40mph to 25mph). Many speed limits are very inconsistent. For example, 25mph on one side of an intersection and 35mph on the other side. There are also roads with two different speed limits depending on which way you are traveling on the same road (for example, north bound traffic 25mph and southbound 35mph)! Adjacent roads with very similar conditions within the same geographic area have different speed limits. For example, you are traveling on one road at 35mph, make a right turn and the speed limit drops to 25mph. There are always numerous officers on duty with extensive equipment. They frequently set up radar or just ride around in their vehicles with radar on. They also set up mass stops where they have numerous cops clocking and giving tickets at certain intersections (five or six cars pulled over at once in an area with an artificially low speed limit). They always send their cops to court, as well, so no getting out of a ticket because the cop didn’t show. It is really out of control and borders on harassment. You should just be very, very careful in this town. I have friends who refuse to even enter the town at all unless absolutely necessary. I would avoid it if I didn’t live here.
