Progressive Lane at Mitchell Road

Neshannock Township, PennsylvaniaJul 30, 20190 Comments

Mitchell Road connects from Route 18 to Interstate 376. This stretch of Mitchell Road is approximately 2 miles long. Between Route 18 and Interstate 376, there is a lane called Progressive Lane. The Neshannock Police sit back in the lane about 20 feet from Mitchell Road. They cannot be seen because of a small row of shrubs on both sides of the lane. From Route 18 when you turn onto Mitchell Road, there is a brand new 35 speed limit sign. About half of a mile past that, there is an old 35 mile speed limit sign that has an “END” sign underneath it. These cannot be seen especially at night because of the wear and tear of many years of use. There are 2 white lines painted horizontally across Mitchell Road. This is also a spot that is under construction at the moment as the state is installing new sewers and a new drainage system. This means double the penalty if stopped and ticketed. Drivers beware.
