Driving southeast on Prospect Street (heading into town) there is a speed trap occasionally after you cross the bridge over the Ohio Turnpike. Right after the bridge, the road curves, and there are two blind spots where HPD sits. The speed limit is 35mph, and just to note, I have never been pulled over there before or seen anybody pulled over there before. If you are speeding and see a cruiser, I have heard from an HPD officer that it is a good idea to slow down anyway for good measure, regardless of whether you think you’re caught – you’ll more than likely end up with a warning. I have been pulled over four times by HPD (I am a resident) and not once have I been ticked. They are generally very nice, however they sometimes give kids a bad rap.
