Heading south on Pulaski from Toney, the speed limit is 55 MPH on two-lane, rural Pulaski. The road widens to four traffic lanes and a turn late at the top of a hill overlooking the Toyota plant on the east side of the road. One would naturally expect the widened road have an increased speed limit, or at least continue the 55 MPH limit, but the limit abruptly drops to 40 MPH. Just north of the Toyota plant, there is an access road for the industrial park on the left. HPD and State Troopers will often there, just back from Pulaski Pike. They’ll get you for doing even 45 MPH.
