ramp from 417 to I-4
After going thru the last toll booth on the 417 Greeneway, there is a long (almost 2 mile) ramp to I-4. The 417 speed limit is 65, I-4 is 70; this ramp is 50 right after the toll, and 55 until you reach I-4. FHP parks near the I-4 end of the ramp and they use helicopters or planes to clock you on the ramp; relaying the info to the waiting patrol cars.

Yes, I just had an experience with a Sheriff on a motorcycle....I thought the speed limit was 65 through this last couple of miles on 417, as is the speed limit on the rest of 417. I passed the Sheriff at 58mph and he speed up beside me (although he did so through a marked merged area) and hand signaled that the limit was 55. It was quite freaky having a motorcycle appear beside your door at this speed. Seemed rather silly to me and can only guess that he did not like the idea of me passing him? Guess he could have given me a ticket and perhaps I should count myself as lucky today.....
