Redbud
The speed limit is 35, but NO one I see on that road goes less than 40-45. 35 is just unrealistic. There is a hill and at the bottom sits a Mormon church. Cops love to hide in the parking lot on the bottom of the hill and get drivers who have gained momentum coming down. Hint: After the hill is a moderate curve. At the end of the curve is a road on the right that leads into a neighborhood with an outage to Garder Park Rd. If you see the cop in your rear mirror pulling out of the lot after you helplessly speed past him, don’t slow down. Accelerate around that curve. It is not to sharp, but it has enough of a turn to block you from the cop’s view for a split second. If you time it right, you will turn onto the side road on the right without the cop seeing you, and he will continue down Redbud all confused looking for your car while you are safely away from him in a suburban Gastonia neighborhood near Gardner Park. That is how I got away from almost getting an unfair ticket in that particular trap.
