Rhode Island 165

Exeter, Rhode IslandApr 17, 20101 Comments

Shortly after the state line going from CT. into RI near Beach Pond, State troopers catch drivers on a long stretch of fairly remote secondary road. The speed limits vary from 30-45 or so but it is easy to push it up as there isn’t much on that road. The troopers will get you coming from an oncoming direction and then turn around and stop you. By the time you see them coming at you, it’s too late. This tactic seems to be relatively common in RI.

Comments:
Correct, pretty much anywhere on 165 from the CT border to Rte3 you have a decent chance of running into a Trooper coming head-on with radar or set-up in any one of numerous dirt roads, trail heads, parking lots or abandonded driveways. And they LOVe to get out of state drivers.
