River Oaks Dr. near Carolina Forest Blvd.

Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaJan 16, 20102 Comments

As River Oaks Dr. intersects with Carolina Forest Blvd., the road widens to four lanes and drops suddenly from 45 to 35 speed limit. I always see people getting caught especially during the 5:00 rush hour. Be careful–and if you’re turning onto International/Grissom, beware that speed trap too!

Comments:
Of course this is speed trap but thats not their motive. This is "probable cause" trap when it is used at night. It is really designed to give them probable cause to stop cars to check for drinking drives. This road is two lanes on each side, in a sparsely populated area that is marked as a 35 mph zone. There is little money for the city in speeding tickets compared to DUI violations.

Hey i have to say you are crazy there is a speeding problem here i live in bellegrove and can't walk over to food lion because of you people going 60 in a 35 don't say this does not happen because IT DOES and the people that say the cops need to go are the ones that speed. Also just to let you know when they make all the roads in CF 4 lanes the speed WILL DROP to 35.
