River Road near Harris Hill/Aquarena Springs Roads
This stretch is a back road that is well-traveled in San Marcos. It is scenic and a short-cut to and from outer parts of the city. It is enforced by Hays County Sheriffs on motorcycles and in chargers. The posted speed is 30mph–an abrupt drop from 40 with on sign either way. It is also enforced during PM rush as theere is high peak traffic due to the Job Corps Center shifts. They are not lenient and are posted in a yard where they can laser over the hill.
