Rockside Road near Crossview Road

Got pulled over on way home from late night job, 2am. Seven Hills police. I’m going west on Rockside Rd., from I-77, and almost at Crossview Rd., where I need to make a left, so I’m in the "fast lane" – didn’t really know there was one on regular roads till tonite. Thought fast lane was on freeways. Wasn’t far from the "Crossview 500 feet ahead" sign, so no more than 1000 feet. Anyways, I see these cars barreling up behind me out of nowhere. I was doing 40 to 45. I noticed it’s cops, so I slowed to 35. They get right on my butt. They pull me over, telling me that I shouldn’t be in the fast lane, and there is no one else on the road, and that they could’ve been after somebody, and me slowing down may cause an accident as they don’t know what I’m going to do. What a crock of bull! I told him, I think that’s a natural reaction, that if you have a cop on your tail, you do the speed limit, but he proceeded to tell me I’m 50 years old and should know better and to pull to the right hand lane to let faster traffic thru. Guess he wanted me to do 10 over, to bring in some money. I was going to tell him I was ready to turn left in about 2 seconds, and they didn’t have their lights or sirens on, but thought screw it, save my breath. He looked at my license and told me to get going. There were 2 cop cars, so I figure they had to have some excuse to look for a DUI. Some flimsy excuse to pull you over. maybe they are trying to pressure people to go with "their" flow, then pull you over for speeding. If I would’ve pulled to the right lane, they would’ve probably pulled me over anyways, they did want to check me out. And pulling over to the right, I always thought that was pretty much telling the cops, "I know you got me for something, pull me over", and they think you’re preparing for a stop, so they do it to see what they can get. I always thought, you just keep the way you’re going, slow down, and NO rash moves when a cop tails you, but guess not in Seven Hills!
