Route 11, at the top of “dump hill”
Right on the Claremont/Newport town line is a turn-around used by school buses. It is deep enough that police cars are not easily seen, especially when coming from Claremont. It is at the top of a truck lane where cars tend to pick up speed to pass other vehicles. Both Newport & Claremont police use the area.
