Rt 20 between Morrisvill and rt 46, hammilton exit
There is a picnic area on rt 20 where it switches from 55 to 45. There is usualy a NYS trooper sitting there after dark. They will not hesitate to pull you over for minor violations.

This spot has not only been a long time favorite for the NYS Police but also for the Madison County Sheriffs Deputy's as well. It also is a very popular place for a check point for mainly DWI;s and seat belt,registration & inspection checks...check point will be there equally nite or day.
Check point also set up just a 1/2 mile further east at the intersection of RT.20 & RT.46. Another is also on the "west hill" on RT.20 at the old " buzzys diner " parking lot. Both NYS Troopers & Sheriffs Deputy's sit there mostly at nite with lights off running radar and get you either entering Morrisville ( east bound ) or as you leave ( west bound ).
PS.... Breware "Public Safety" AKA SUNY Campus Police... they have the authority to get you even if your NOT on the NYS Campus in the village.
