Rt 260

Heber, ArizonaAug 01, 20012 Comments

Entering Heber from the west on 260 the hill into town will cause a vehicle, unless it brakes on the hill, to arrive in town well over the posted speed limit of 35. In all fairness 45 is posted on the hill and warnings of reduced speed ahead.

Comments:
The "hill causes a vehicle to speed" is the message of a person who refuses to take responsibility for their actions. The speed limit going west to east drops from 55 to 45 as you pass the Circle K entering into Heber. It then stays at 45 as you enter Heber/Overgaard and remains at 45 all through town until you pass Bison Ranch leaving town goint to Show Low. There are no 35 mph limits on either Hiway 260 or 277 thru town. If you turn north towards Holbrook, the limit is still 45 until you leave the residentional areas. The limits are reasonable...people wanting to speed through town are not....nuf said.

Driving at night the speed limit signs are partially hidden by poorly maintained trees at the side of the road. The next clearly visible sign is posted after the speed trap. Enjoy my money Heber, you won't ever get anymore as I will never again go to your town.
