Traffic coming off of Skyline drive on route 33 headed east toward Richmond are on a two lane road and often behind slow traffic or trucks. Route 33 expands into a four lane divided highway about 3tenths of a mile from the first Stanardsville exit and many will take this opportunity to pass trucks or slow traffic. An unmarked State Police car and sometimes a marked county Sheriff’s car will sit on the right side of 33 on a hidden drive one tenth mile past the first Standardsville exit.
