Rt. 340
If traveling north on Rt. 340 you cross into the town limits at a small shopping mall with a Food Lion and several food places on the left. Directly across the road you have self storage units and there is a car parked in there constantly (sometimes marked sometimes not) running radar. Have seen them in there @ 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Can’t see them if you are traveling south until it’s too late. This town is one town to really watch your speed. They don’t like big trucks coming through their town.

Coming into the North end of Grottoes traveling south, they like to sit in an area directly across from the rescue squad and in the parking lot of the rescue squad.
340, there is nothing left to say other than this is a bonafide speed trap highway not just Grottoes.
Grottoes has a nasty reputation granted, but so do many towns along this road, you best watch your self anywhere in this town and all throughout this main road.
