Just state troopers always hang there to catch drivers coasting down the grade… easy to increase speed because of long straight Safe grade.

Anywhere near Neelde is Bored Police Officer Haven. We have CHP and San Bernadino Sheriffs with not a darn thing to do. Drunk driving check points in summer due to large amount of river traffic. ( yes they will impound your boat along with your car). Best advice is slow down and do not drink and drive, they will get you. Oh yes, if you're in town be sure to use turn signals and stop at all signs. They are truly bored and there are lots of them.

Heading to AZ. Knew about this speedtrap. CHP stopped me anyhow. I was about 3 MPH over speed limit. CHP said it was "reasonable" speed, but wrote a fix-it ticket for no front lic. plate.

also stopped and given a fix it for no front plate. Was towing my ca plated boat at the time and i think CHP figured the car was registered in arizona and upon realizing it wasnt just went ahead and wrote the ticket for that ... so beware if you live in ca and have your vehicle registered elsewhere they are looking for it
