Rt. 57 eastbound/westbound & on rotary

Staties are all over this road especially with the bridges under construction and Six Flags back in action for the summer. Beware of the corner near the Rt. 75 exit and on the rotary. I got clocked 15mph over limit and ticked for $300 on the straightaway heading west at 8am. They are especially out at rush hours am/pm due to the many people at the Industrial Park and those heading into Springfield.

This is the first and last time that I will post in this forum. I live on a street in Agawam where drivers speed down at 60 to 70 mph; things have been taken out from mail boxes, to pets to human beings. My definition of a "speed trap": it is an area where the speed limit is manipulated so that it is one rate at one point and then immediately changes to a lower one without warning. That is a "speed trap," and I have been caught in several of those traveling across country (especially in small towns that need to enhance the coffers). As far as I know, Agawam has no "speed traps." What has been described here is merely enforcing the speed limit. Here's an idea: in stead of trying to locate all the places that the cops hang out, try obeying the law. I know that it sounds like I'm preaching, but don't be like a friend of mine. He was exceeding the speed limit (15MPH over) until he found out why the limit was what it was. A sharp curve in the road caused him to swerve. He hit a small child on a bicycle. The child was killed instantly. My friend lives with that every day. Speeding is not a joke.
