Rt 9, near a big church
The Old Bennington police officer is specially hired to patrol a whole quarter mile of road. All he does is write tickets. Oh the stories I could tell… Anyways, his 3 fave spots are at the church where the limit drops to 25 as you first come into town from NY, and the museum as you go down a hill into town, and on bank street in someone’s driveway. He will be getting a new cruiser soon so watch out, I guess

Absolutely a speed trap. Not only will you get a ticket here, you will get a nice dose of verbal antagonism on the side, a miserable man who really enjoys targeting and being rude to tourists especially. He thoroughly enjoys his job, writes tickets all day long, he is always positioned somewhere in his car right where the speed limit changes suddenly or where there is a hill.
