The Bernardston cop hangs out on the east-bound or west-bound side and picks people off regularly. That stretch of Rte. 10 is straight and wide and only lightly settled, and a lot of people use it to get to I-91 from NH and VT through Northfield (see someone else’s Northfield speed trap posting also). The speed limit is 55 but the good traffic and road conditions tempt you to do more. The cop’s a nice guy and has let me go twice, so now I’m careful — but put on the cruise control and keep it under 55!
