There is an oddly placed stop sign at the intersection. The cop stopped me about 1/4 mile past the sign and claimed that I ‘blew through the stop sign’. I protested that I NEVER run stop signs and haven’t had a ticket in over 10 years,. He claimed he watched me run it. After receiving the ticket ($170!) I backtracked to check on the sign to satisfy myself. Sure enough, I REMEMBERED stopping at this sign! And, there was the same cop parked hidden on a little rise off to one side watching for his next victim. GA recently passed laws against ‘Speed Traps’, so local burgs are just finding workarounds to generate revenue from their victims.
